Alive & Kicking’s operations in Kenya and Zambia are self-sustainable on the sale of balls. The organisation’s headquarters in London sources grants for the start up of the operations, for their outreach programmes, and supports them through sourcing international sales.

Alive & Kicking’s London headquarters is funded through grants and donations and through a percentage on sales. The headquarters is responsible for governance, branding, international expansion and for coordinating the overall strategy of the international operation.

• The UK Company is a registered charity and adopts a leadership role for the organisation.
• Each company has a Board of Trustees/Directors with a Chair elected by simple majority.
• Each local country operation is set-up and empowered to direct and manage its own operations and, on incorporation, the Mission/Vision/Values of Alive and Kicking has been passed as a Resolution of the Company at the first General Meeting.
• Each local operation reports timely monthly accounts and audited financial statements, management reports, annual business plans, forecasts and budgets and such information as is reasonably requested by the UK Company.
